Job Description
Play Worker required at a busy Before and After School Club and Holiday Club attached to Arden Primary School in Bredbury, Stockport. The role is to assist the Manager to plan, prepare and provide creative and appropriate play opportunities in a safe and caring environment. Provide full care for the children including collection from school. To ensure the provision of refreshments to meet standards of hygiene and health and safety. Administer First Aid as appropriate. Contribute to good communication with all members of the organisation, parents, schools and childcare and play related agencies. Undertake training which may be a statutory requirement and to contribute to professional development. Monitor and maintain a healthy, safe and secure working environment including the setting up and tidying and cleaning of equipment and the club. Carry out all responsibilities and activities with an equal opportunities framework and work within agreed policies. The job will start at the beginning of September for the new school year.
The role is to cover breakfast club hours 7.30 am - 9.15 am and after school sessions 3.00 - 6.00pm in term time plus additional holiday hours out of term time.
Experience of working with children and relevant qualification is essential. Flexibility of hours is required with this role. Training available.
Salary: £8.21 per hour (dependant on age and experience)
